Yoga Therapist

I’m Karen, a state-licensed and nationally certified massage therapist as well as a certified yoga instructor and a personal trainer.

I have been a massage therapist for 20 years, and specialize in deep tissue. I have studied neuromuscular therapy and structural integration, which helps me address client pain, and I have an interest in orthopedic and medical massage. I also have studied chakra energy balancing, and I am a Reiki practitioner.

I am also a Kripalu-certified yoga instructor, and I teach adult, teen, and kid’s yoga classes. I pursue the yoga path as a way to stay grounded and strong to better serve my clients. I offer private yoga instruction for beginner and intermediate students; class styles range from gentle relaxation to challenging strength and balance work.

I served as the State Coordinator for the American Massage Therapy Association Massage Emergency Response Team (MERT) when I lived in Maryland, and I was privileged to be part of the team that was on site with the emergency responders at the Pentagon after 9-11.
