Massage TherapistDavid, B.A., C.M.T., is a muscular specialist who has studied extensively on the best ways to relieve a great amount of muscular tension, pain, and discomfort in the neck, back, shoulders, and body.
After graduating from California State University, Northridge, in pre-med and Education, David began a teaching credential at Loyola Marymount University. He found a job as a massage therapist to earn money for student teaching and since he had many courses on anatomy and physiology, he discovered that he had a special talent for muscular/deep tissue therapy and was able to help heal difficult neck and back problems surprisingly fast.
He used the same finger technique for playing classical piano in all his massages and that technique helped keep his hands in great condition, while going very deep into the muscles.
His reputation grew as he worked as the director of soft tissue/muscular therapy at a premiere Chiropractic center in LA, the Four Seasons Hotel, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. He currently helps heal common and more difficult sports injuries at a country club in the Los Angeles area, for the Peninsula Hotel, for the Los Angeles Triathlon Club, in addition to patients at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and for the UCLA Sports Medicine Clinic.
He studied with Cynthia June Sakelik, IPSB massage school and did a 3 year one-on-one internship with the master soft tissue Chiropractor, Dr. Richard Semel. David is very easy to work with and offers a great deal of knowledge and experience to the Dr. Dot Massage Team.
